SUMMARY:Ft. Worth Audubon General Meeting - Annual Members Slide Show
DESCRIPTION:Join us for our Annual Members Slide Show. Many of our members are great photographers who capture birds and other wildlife during the past 12 months. They pick some favorites to share with the rest of us. This year we have already received photos and videos from several international trips\, and backyard visitors in Texas and other other U.S.  states\, so our show will be fun to see. \nIf you have photos you would like to share\, send them to Jim Jones at avianadmin@fwas.org before May 9th. Jim puts together the PowerPoint show. He will need species and location information for your photos. He does ask to keep the number of submissions under 50 photos\, but will consider more submissions if you had traveled to somewhere exotic. Share your photos and video via your Cloud storage link\, or send them via email a few at a time. \nThis meeting is also streamed live on Zoom. SUMMARY:Parr Park\, Grapevine - quarterly bird walk
DESCRIPTION:Join Karen Rice and others as they explore this Grapevine\, TX\, city park. Parr Park is located along Bear Creek and the Bear Creek Trail. The habitat is similar to many other suburban city parks with a creek lined with bottom woodlands. The trail is paved and mostly level\, very shady. \nKaren plans to stay in Parr Park and walk about 2 1/2 miles round trip. Please park by the Rotary Pavilion. There are bathroom facilities in the park. \nThis bird walk will be held four times a year on Sundays of the selected months.\nStart times will be at 8:00 AM\, but please check back here in case a later start time might be made due to weather. \nFor further independent exploration\, try the Parr Park Rock Art Trail area. On very birdy days during migration\, it is worthwhile to follow the trail system from Pool Rd. east through Parr Park and over to Bear Creek Park on HWY 360. This would be a 6.2 mile round trip.
