DESCRIPTION:Join Chuck Baskin and others as they explore Kelley Park in Arlington on the first Friday of every month. Chuck asked that everyone meet him at the parking lot at the end of Creekside Drive. (from Arkansas Lane\, turn north on Woodside Dr.\, then east on Creekside. The walk is usually 2 hours\, depending on how birdy it is. Bring water and snacks if needed. DESCRIPTION:Join us for our first Chapter General Member’s Meeting of the 2025-2026 season. Tonight’s program is Flight Plan and Fort Worth Audubon: Bending the Bird Curve\, presented by Chloe Crumley\, Audubon Texas Engagement Manager. Chloe will share National Audubon’s Strategic Plan which set their ambitions to help reverse the trend of biodiversity decline. With help from local chapters and engaging the community\, they hope to spread awareness and inspire the next generation of birders. \nThe meeting will be both a live event and streamed on Zoom. Details for joining the web stream will be added here and on our home page. The meeting will begin at 7:00PM with chapter business announcements\, a short bird identification program\, and a social visitation time beginning at 6:30 PM.

SUMMARY:Foster Park Bird Walk
DESCRIPTION:Join Jean Ferguson at Foster Park on the second Saturday of every month. \nThe park is located at Trail Lake Dr. in south Fort Worth. This is Ft. Worth Audubon’s longest running monthly field trip! This is a great field trip for both beginning and experienced bird watchers as this linear trail attracts many migrants thanks to a small stream and wooded canopy. Easy walking on paved trails. The walk usually lasts 1 to 2 hours.  \nStart Time for June through September is 7:30 AM.\nStart time for October through May is 8:30 AM. \nDress for the current weather conditions\, and bring water and snacks if wanted. \nClick here for a PDF with details for this walk.

SUMMARY:Parr Park\, Grapevine\, TX
DESCRIPTION:Join Karen Rice and others as they explore this Grapevine\, TX\, city park. Parr Park is located along Bear Creek and the Bear Creek Trail. The habitat is similar to many other suburban city parks with a creek lined with bottom woodlands. The trail is paved and mostly level\, very shady. Karen plans to stay in Parr Park and walk about 2 1/2 miles round trip. There are facilities in the park. \nThis bird walk will be held four times a year on Sundays of the selected months.\nStart times will be at 8:00 AM for the September\, February amd April walks.\nThe start time for the November walk will be 7:30 AM. \nFor further independent exploration\, try the Parr Park Rock Art Trail area. On very birdy days during migration\, it is worthwhile to follow the trail system from Pool Rd. east through Parr Park and over to Bear Creek Park on HWY 360. This would be a 6.2 mile round trip.

SUMMARY:Trinity Trails Bird Walk (now a monthly walk!)
DESCRIPTION:Join Tom Haase and Jean Ferguson on the 4th Sunday from September thru May (2026)\, at 8:30 AM for the field trip visiting the Trinity Trails walk along the Clear Fork Trinity River. \nMeeting place: The walk will begin on Bellaire Drive on/near the bridge crossing the tributary/path leading to the Trinity River. Parking is available all along the street leading up to the bridge.
