SUMMARY:November General Meeting: Audubon's Christmas Bird Count
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a talk about the upcoming 126th annual Audubon Christmas Bird Count (CBC.) \nMichael Perez\, the FWAS Count Leader/Compiler\, will share how the Christmas Bird Count\, a Citizen Science program\, is a helpful tool for everyday scientists. There are a number of projects everyday citizens can involve themselves in. Each December\, bird lovers can assist with the National Audubon Society’s Christmas Bird Count. Volunteers help document bird sightings throughout Fort Worth\, providing important data that supports research on bird populations. Learn about the history of this initiative and discover how you can get involved—step up and help count! This year\, FWAS will host our 67th Annual Fort Worth CBC and 26th Village Creek Drying Beds CBC. \nContact Michel on how to join one of the CBC teams. Volunteers are needed!!
