SUMMARY:26th Annual Village Creek Drying Beds Christmas Bird Count
DESCRIPTION:Come out and join one of our teams to conduct the annual Village Creek Drying Beds (VCDB) Christmas Bird Count (CBC.) This is the 126th Annual Audubon Christmas Bird Count\, and the 26th time FWAS participated at VCDB. Contact avianadmin@fwas.org\, and we will connect you with the Count Leader Gabriele Saleh. She will help you join one of the teams. \nA CBC may sound daunting to the inexperienced birder\, but it is actually a great way to improve birding skills and learn from the more experienced birders in our chapter. EXTRA EYES are the most helpful tool when participating in a bird count. Not knowledge of bird species. \nThe Village Creek Drying Beds CBC is a count circle centered at the drying beds on Green Oaks Blvd. in north Arlington. The resulting 15-mile diameter circle allows teams to look for birds on the south end of DFW airport\, the Colleyville Nature Center\, the many city parks in H-E-B\, and the many city parks in Arlington including Lake Arlington\, Village Breek Natural Area\, and habitat along the West Fork Trinity River over to Irving/Grand Prairie. There are only 7 to 8 teams tems in all. But we would love to add more to cover additional parks in this urban environment.

This is the 126th Annual Audubon Christmas Bird Count\, and the 67th time FWAS participated.
