During the 4 day weekend\, they invite people to spend time in their favorite places watching and counting as many birds as they can find and reporting them on the GBBC website. To learn more\, click here… \nHow to participate:  Step 1. Decide where you will watch birds; Step 2. Watch birds for 15 minutes or more at least once over the 4 days; Step 3. Report your observations on your favorite app (Merlin or eBird.) If you already use these apps\, keep using them as anything reported during the 4 days will count towards the GBBC. \n

SUMMARY:GBBC at Randol Mill Park in Arlington
DESCRIPTION:Join the Friends of Randol Mill Park for their 1st annual Great Backyard Bird Count. They will meet in the Pavilion parking lot at 8:00 AM. The pavilion is located on your left on Randall Mill Park Road. (there are tennis courts directly across from the pavilion.) This will be a 2-hour walk on fairly level ground. Bring your binoculars and camera. Wear appropriate clothing for the weather and closed toe shoes. \nIf you haven’t done so already\, download the Merlin application from Cornell University on your phone. The Merlin app will assist you in accurately identifying bird songs heard while on the walk. \nIf any questions\, contact Carol Marcotte at 817-793-3917.

SUMMARY:River Legacy Environmental Learning Center Great Backyard Bird Count
DESCRIPTION:Come out and join other FWAS volunteers to help visitors and guests take part in the 2026 Great Backyard Bird Count.
