Parr Park, Grapevine, TX
Join Karen Rice and others as they explore this Grapevine, TX, city park. Parr Park is located along Bear Creek and the Bear Creek Trail. The habitat is similar to many other suburban city parks with a creek lined with bottom woodlands. The trail is paved and mostly level, very shady. Karen plans to stay in Parr Park and walk about 2 1/2 miles round trip. There are facilities in the park.
This bird walk will be held four times a year on Sundays of the selected months.
Start times will be at 8:00 AM for the September, February amd April walks.
The start time for the November walk will be 7:30 AM.
For further independent exploration, try the Parr Park Rock Art Trail area. On very birdy days during migration, it is worthwhile to follow the trail system from Pool Rd. east through Parr Park and over to Bear Creek Park on HWY 360. This would be a 6.2 mile round trip.
