Lake Lewisville Environmental Learning Area (LLELA) is hosting their 2nd Annual Big Sit Fundraiser on Saturday, April 6. 2024, from 1 hour before dawn (about 6:20 AM) to 5:30 PM. Create a team consisting of 2 to 6 people, select a team name, and register by contacting the Friends of LLELA at their website: www.friendsofllela.org.
Big Sits are where teams will observe and count species from a designated 17-foot diameter circle. Team members are only allowed to leave the circle to verify a bird sighting.
Registration is $15.00 per person (which waives the normal $5 gate fee)
Please note at the time of my posting they listed the event, but not “how to register” or how they plan to organize where each team’s 17-foot circle will be.
