Let’s Not Touch the Baby Bird Webinar

Join Dogwood Canyon Audubon Center, Blackland Prairie Raptor Center, and other licensed bird rehabbers for a webinar to find out just what is going on with the birds, what we should or should not do to help them, and what federal law allows us to do.
It’s that time of year again when birds are nesting and fledglings are learning to fly! It’s OUR favorite time of year.
It’s also the time of year that we see the activities of birds more because they are building nests, shopping for food, and learning to fly.
Sometimes we may see something that pulls at our heartstrings and we want to intervene, but should we? Does that bird on the ground truly need our help, or are they just testing out their wings? Have the parents abandoned the nest or are they just out shopping and will be back in no time with lunch?
Having empathy for nature is a good quality but knowing when to intervene or stand back and let the birds do what they do is critical.
