FWAS September 2024 General Meeting: Land Stewardship for Birds by Rufus Stephens

Join us for our first General Meeting of the 2024-2025 season. This meeting will be both live in-person and streamed on-line via Zoom. (See the home page for links to where we hold live meetings and the Zoom weblink for those who wish to join us on-line.)
The September 12th meeting program will be Land Stewardship for Birds presented by Rufus Stephens.
Rufus is a Certified Wildlife Biologist and has worked as a wildlife biologist for over 35 years, 23 years with TPWD. Presently, he operates as a wildlife consultant under Rufus Wildlife Consulting, where he assists landowners and communities with the development of wildlife management plans with special emphasis on the management of birds. He co-authored “Land Stewardship for Birds: A Guide for Central Texas” with Jan Wrede, published by TAMU Press. Notably, Rufus is recognized as one of the founders of the esteemed Texas Master Naturalist program. His instrumental role in its establishment earned him a corecipient distinction of the prestigious Wildlife Management Institute’s award for Innovation.
Rufus will bring copies of the book Land Stewardship for Birds: A Guide for Central Texas which he will offer for $50. (cash or check only)
The meeting will start at 7:00 PM, with a social time beginning at 6:30. (The Zoom meeting room will open at about 6:30 as well)
