Ft. Worth Audubon Spring Bird Count

Come out and join a team for the Ft. Worth Audubon’s Spring Bird Count (SBC) on Saturday, April 27, 2024. This is a ‘fun’ bird count within the same Christmas Bird Count circle giving our members a chance to see spring migrants as they arrive or fly by on their way to their northern mating grounds. This count has been held almost every year since the 1960s. A Bird Count can be a great event for beginner birders to build their birding skills. The more eyes & ears to help find birds, the better the day will be. We finish the day at 5:30 PM at the Ft. Worth Nature and Wildlife Center for a meal and bragging session.
Want to join one of the teams? Contact Michael Perez and he will connect you with a team leader. Some of the areas within the 15-mile count circle are not open to the public, so this can be a great event if you like to explore new places.
