Ft. Worth Audubon Annual Summer Scavenger Hunt

The FWAS Scavenger Hunt is back on for this year! The event is being organized by Paula Channell. If you wish to participate, meet Paula in the Lone Star Cafe parking lot on Saturday, July 15, at 5:45 a.m. The cafe is located at 1001 NE Green Oaks Blvd, Arlington, 76006. (just north of Green Oaks Blvd on HWY 157 / behind the 7-Eleven)
If you would like to participate, call or text Paula Channell at 817-405-8132. Let Paula know if you have your own team already, the team members and the team name. If you don’t have a team Paula will put you on one. All levels of birding experience are welcome. This is a fun event done in July, the least birded month according to National Audubon, to help them see what’s out there this time of the year. Citizen Science at it’s finest!

Things to bring: WATER, bug spray, snacks, your list, binoculars, sun screen, hat/ visor, good walking / hiking shoes and some crazy determination!
Birding is only allowed within the borders of Tarrant County. Check the FWAS homepage for Tarrant Co. Local Hot Spots. Choose your sites and plan your route
Keep track of your sightings on your bird list. Stop birding at noon and meet back at the cafe’s parking lot.
