Smith Point Hawk Watch / Bolivar Peninsiula / Nungaray NWR: October 16 to 19, 2026

Join Sheila Sawyer as she leads an out-of-town field trip where you will experience the awesome migration of tens of thousands of hawks along the Upper Texas Coast.  While in the area, we’ll take in shorebird migration along the Boliver Peninsula, check out wildlife refuges, bird sanctuaries, and sparrow species on inland roads.  Sheila has taken time off work to lead this exciting migration birding trip, organizing schedules to maximize species counts, and has accommodation recommendations that allow birding from sunrise to sunset.  However, it will still be a relaxing trip with come and go options.  Please contact Sheila via er email address (sheilabean@hotmail.com) to RSVP or simply to find out more about it.
