October 2026 General Meeting: “The Feather Wars” by James McCommons
Join us for our October General Meeting on Thursday, October 8th. The meeting will begin at 7:00 PM. The meeting will be a live, in-person event and also streamed on our Zoom channel. The link for Zoom meetings for all of 2026 – 2027 will be the same unless othwerwise noted. Check our Events Calendar for each meeting if changes are made.
The program tonight will be The Feather Wars presented by James McCommons. The early years of bird conservation in North America, is a fascinating period, featuring colorful characters and countless battles fought in the pages of newspapers and magazines regarding the need for conserving the continent’s wildlife. It is a history thoroughly recounted in the book The Feather Wars and Great Crusade to Save America’s Birds by James H. McCommons.
